Well, the eighteen races have whittled down to a more managable number . Ascot has 4 races worth pondering over with Race 6 pre post prices a fair bit different than my initial assessment. Race 8 has Marasco entered at wfa and a year or so ago you would have considered him unbeatable at the weights but he is getting older and age plus competition does weary them. Sydney has me interested in Races 5 6 7 8 but I have yet to finalize my prices while in South Australia Races 6 and 7 are the only two worth considering. Caulfield has been knocked out completely as too many of the initial interest races have 1st or 2nd uppers entered or as in Cocinero's case is better at MValley. If you feel apprehensive about such races it is better to stay out and just watch for the future. At this time of the year the better class horses are following the riches up north and the winter types are just starting to reappear and fitness levels are a major issue. So in summary there are 10 races left.
I am aware there is a Moonee Valley meeting on tonight but a quick sprint through the top weights in each race shows that very few of those horses are household names for the serious punters.
Ok: now I am into pricing the 10 races so see you tomorrow.
