Wow! What would racing be without blokes like Glen Boss? He's a colorful character in a world that seems to frown on them these days. Bossy's joy at winning the Cox Plate on Ocean Park was infectious - the crowd suddenly came to life, TV screens sparkled, emotions soared. Here was a jockey who really cared, who was whooping it up to the limit - and everyone loved it! As journo Michael Lynch says in the Sunday Age: 'But that is Glen Boss - the ultimate big-race rider who zones in, lives in the moment and is never afraid to show his emotion and be carried away by the excitement of the occasion. His exuberance and sheer exultation in moments of triumph might lead to such statements, but that is part of the theatre and drama this jockey brings to proceedings.'

It was great to tip the winner of the Cox Plate, Ocean Park $6.50. His win made it a double for PPD Club members following my tip for Dunaden $14.00 in last week's Caulfield Cup. It's a superb spring so far for our members - and we still have a few big races to come, including, of course, the Melbourne Cup! By the way - our ImpactPro ratings continued their big-race success. They landed the Caulfield Cup quinella/exacta anddid the same in the Cox Plate!
