Len Morton couldn't be prouder of his son Daniel, trainer of Doomben Cup winner Scenic Shot. He says the victory gave him a bigger thrill than when he won the Brisbane Cup with Muros. Len says: 'If ever a horse deserved to win a Group 1, it's this bloke...It's a great thrill to win it...I stood aside four years ago to let Dan have a go at training and for him to make a good fist of it and win Group 1 races make you very proud as a parent.' Dan Morton stayed in Perth yesterday. He's prreparing his topsprinter Scenic Blast for a UK campaign.
