Good news to start the week...Talented Kiwi apprentice Rosie Myers will return to Brisbane and it's likely she'll stay here permanently. Brisbane trainer Kelso Wood says Myers will be riding at Doomben on Saturday after a holiday in Thailand and a short return to New Zealand to see her family in New Plymouth. He says: 'Rosie is leaning towards moving here fulltime, although there still is an option for a loan arrangement from New Zealand on her apprenticeship for a few months."

UK star Frankel could face at least one serious rival when he lines up for the Juddmonte International - in the shape of St Nicholas Abbey. The world's highest-rated horse is scheduled to tackle 10 furlongs (2000m) for the first time at York on Aug 22, in a race sponsored by his owner, Khalid Abdullah. Cirrus Des Aigles has been confirmed an absentee, with Nathaniel seemingly more likely to head for the Irish Champion Stakes. But Aidan O'Brien looks set to target the Group One showpiece with dual Coronation Cup and Breeders' Cup Turf hero St Nicholas Abbey.
