Good barrier draws give both (7) Adoboli 5/1 and (16) Set To Star 11/2 bold chances in race 4, a Mdn Plate 1208m at Sale on Thursday. The David Hayes trained Adoboli shaped very well on debut to finish 3rd/10 in a sound formline race at Seymour (3YO Mdn) 1209m on Aug 5. The Nadeem gelding rallied well in the final 100m to finish only 1.5 lens from the winner. The form has since panned out well in city races. Hayes should have Adoboli geared up for a big effort from gate #3. Set To Star is drawn in gate #1 and will be able to dominate from the outset - as she did from the same barrier when 5th/12 over the Cranbourne 3YOF Mdn 1400m on Mar 28. Slipped back to today's shorter trip, the Reset filly is ideally suited.
