Precedence and Moudre needed to win the HP to gain a start in next week's Caulfield Cup. Linton will not be a starter.

Whobegotyou will get the 'blows' for the Cox Plate after his thrashing by So You Think in Sat's Yalumba 2000m at Caulfield. SYK sprinted clear of Whobe at the top of the straight and strolled home from the late-closing Alcopop, who sailed past Whobee inside the 100m. SYT looked real champion material. He'll now be well into the red for the Cox Plate. Alcopop is now favorite for the Caulfield Cup at $5.50 (9/2), with Metal Bender $6.50 (11/2).
