Golden Slipper winner Overreach will be among a host of Gai Waterhouse's carnival contenders due to trial at Randwick on Friday. Overreach, who has not raced since finishing third in the Sires Produce Stakes, trialled twice in the spring but was sent back to the paddock, given more time to strengthen ahead of her autumn three-year-old campaign.

The winner of more than $2.4 million in prizemoney will trial against the Chris Waller trained Champagne Cath in a 740m heat.

Waterhouse has also nominated to trial Carlton House, owned by Queen Elizabeth and believed to be aimed towards the new $4 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m).

Another notable runner from the stable set to trial is Ecuador, who finished a close sixth in the Epsom Handicap after rising through the grades in impressive fashion last campaign. (www.racingnetwork.com.au)
