Star Of Giselle (race 1) and Pied a Terre (race 2) were heavily backed runners in the early stages of the Flemington card and they didn't let their supporters down. Star Of Giselle was the only one punters wanted in race 1, opening at $3.70 before being backed into $2.40 favourite. It won easily with something in hand. In the late stages of betting, $15,000 at an average price of $2.40 was bet. In race 2, Pied A Terre also had a flood of money come for it. Bets of $6,000 @ $1.90, $4,000 @ $1.90 and $15,000 worth of bets at an average price of $1.95 were taken on the two-year-old. In the TCL Electronics Handicap, punters only wanted two runners - Warm Love and Definitely Ready. Each had a flood of money come in with Warm Love winning both the battle and the war. Starting favorite, the Peter Moody-trained mare had to absorb plenty of pressure in the run but held off the finishing burst of Definitely Ready to score an impressive win.

Warwick Farm

Race 3 saw a good move for Al's Magic Miss pay off. It opened $13 with TAB Sportsbet but started at $6.00. Upon This Rock was heavily backed, however, it was Delzera which relished the wet conditions to take out the One Club, One ATC Membership Handicap. Eagle Farm
A confident move on Epic in race 1 at Eagle Farm narrowly failed, with one bet of $6,000 @ $4.10 coming unstuck when it was run down late by Diago. Race 2 saw punters hit back with Biggles getting the money after some heavy betting saw it start favourite. Opening at $6.00, it started at $4.60. Simmering was all the rage in race 3 and won easily.
