A legend passes on...It's farewell to Tom Brassel, one of the great racing journalists. Tom, 80, died overnight. He was one of a band of mighty turf scribblers - we'll never see their like again. Tom worked for more than 40 years for the Sydney afternoon newspaper, the Daily Mirror, the majority as racing editor. In retirement, he helped put out Racetrack magazine.
