Seems that the NSW State Govt's only answer to the problem is to merge the AJC and STC. Suddenly, it appears to be saying, everything will then come up roses. Ho-dee-ho!

Zac Purton rounded off his Hong Kong season in great style, booting home a treble at the final meeting of the season at Sha Tin. They took his season tally to 43 winners and moved him into third spot on the jockeys' premiership behind nine time champ Douglas Whyte (96 winners])and fellow Aussie Brett Prebble (79). Darren Beadman finished on a high with two winners taking his total to 41 and moving him to 5th spot.
