TAKEOVER TARGET was out on the Al Bahathri polytrack on Saturday morning as he continues the countdown to his fourth consecutive visit to to Royal Ascot.

The ten-year-old won the King's Stand in 2006, finished third in the Golden Jubilee that year and went onto finish fourth to Miss Andretti in his follow up bid before failing by only a head to Soldier's Tale in the Golden Jubilee.

Last year the remarkable sprinter finished second to Equiano in the opening day's Group 1 Sprint before finishing fourth to Kingsgate Native in his third attempt at the Golden Jubilee.

Trainer Joe Janiak said: "He just speeded up in the last couple of furlongs and hasn't had a proper gallop since he ran in Singapore. He's travelled over really well and will probably have a gallop next week."
