MELITO won't dodge Black Caviar in Brisbane as trainer Gerald Ryan gears the brilliant mare for five successive Group 1 races to close the season, reports the Daily Telegraph in Sydney.

Its report adds: Ryan also revealed plans to take Melito overseas to Hong Kong and Royal Ascot have been shelved for this year - as have retirement plans.

"The owners are keen for Melito to race on next season," Ryan said. "If they were going to retire her, she would have gone to Hong Kong or Royal Ascot before being sent to stud. But she is still racing so well, I think she is going better now than at any stage of her career, better even than last autumn. She's only a four-year-old, so there is no reason to retire just yet."

Melito is among a star-studded entry for the Group 1 $400,000 The Daily Telegraph All Aged Stakes (1400m at Royal Randwick on Saturday. The Sydney Carnival seems to be saving the best for last with the All Aged Stakes attracting 10 individual Group 1 winners among the 17 entries - Melito, All Silent, Alverta, Danleigh, Eagle Falls, Hay List, Heart Of Dreams, Rangirang- doo, Shoot Out and Triple Honour.
