CAULFIELD trainer Peter Moody believes that Typhoon Tracy's only racetrack defeat can be easily explained and maintains the mare will be better suited under the racing conditions of today's Makybe Diva Stakes at Flemington, reports The Age.

It says: Typhoon Tracy, who won her first five starts including the group 1 Coolmore Classic, was beaten for the first time at Caulfield last start in the Liston Stakes but Moody admits the hectic early pace was primarily the undoing of the mare.

''She was left a sitting shot for the backmarkers. In hindsight we could have ridden our mare a little bit quieter,'' he said. ''If you make her work to go to the front she'll put her head on her chest and come back to wherever you want.

''She chased two tearaways that day and was left a sitting shot for what I think are probably two of the best horses going around in Predatory Pricer and Whobegotyou.''

Moody also saddles brilliant three-year-old filly Black Caviar in the Danehill Stakes.
