A triple Group 1 winner in her homeland, Shez Sinsational showed she will be a force to be reckoned with in Queensland during the winter following a game win in Saturday's Group II Hollindale Stakes (1800m) at the Gold Coast, reports www.breednet.com.au.

The Allan Sharrock-trained mare scored a heart stopping nose win over the Peter Moody-trained Lights Of Heaven (Zabeel) with Anthony Freedman's German import Mawingo (Tertullian) a further three and a quarter lengths away in third.

It is the second trip to Queensland for Shez Sinsational who finished third to fellow kiwi Scarlett Lady in the Queensland Oaks and second to Shootoff in the Queensland Derby last season.

Taken back home, Shez Sinsational staked her claim for New Zealand's Horse Of The Year with three Group 1 wins, the Zabeel Classic (2000m), International Stakes (2000m) and the Auckland Cup (3200m) at Ellerslie in March.

Sharrock said the 4yo daughter of Ekraar will make two more starts in Queensland.

"She'll run next in the Doomben Cup then the O'Shea Stakes but she won't stay on for the Brisbane Cup," Sharrock said.
