In-form Cranbourne trainer Stephen Theodore is planning a two-state Christmas ‘attack’ with his stable stars in the next few weeks. Last Saturday’s impressive Caulfield winner Let’s Get Excited will stay in Melbourne and be aimed at the Listed $120,000 Christmas Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on Boxing Day, reports Racing Network.
Five days earlier, quality stable-mate Road Trippin will float to Adelaide where he will tackle the Listed $80,000 Christmas Handicap (1400m) at Morphettville on December 21.
“Let’s Get Excited did a big job with 60kgs on Saturday and he will drop to 54kgs in the Christmas Stakes, so that is a real bonus for him,” Theodore told Racing Network today.
“And Road Trippin is back and going really well. He likes to go into longer races first-up. He was first-up in a mile race last time and won really well, so we can certainly go to the 1400-metre race in Adelaide first-up and expect him to run well,” he said.
