GREG Eurell's patience with sprinter Hezabruiser has been tested to its limits during the seven-year-old's career, so he had every right to savour a rare win at Betfair Park yesterday, reports The Age newspaper.

It says: Hezabruiser showed immense promise as a young horse, winning at his first three outings. But a string of unlikely injuries and a recurring hoof problem has restricted Hezabruiser to just 14 runs in 3¢ years.

"It's just nice to see him win again, he's a horse with a lot of ability but he's just one of those horses that has had so many problems," he said. "He's been plagued by cracked heels and after a few runs the cracks go right up to the coronary band and you just have to spell him."
