A heavier than expected weight for Soiled in the Civic Stakes is the only concern Patinack Farm trainer Jason Coyle has for the six-year-old ahead of Saturday's Listed race at Rosehill.

Soiled, who won the Listed Centenary Mile (1600m) at Eagle Farm on June 20, has equal second topweight of 57kg along with Strat's Flyer for the 1400-metre feature in which Hadaaf has topweight of 58kg.

"They've lobbed about two kilos more on him than he should have got," Coyle said.

"He won at Hawkesbury with 57kg in May, obviously this is a stronger field but he's in the best form of his career and we're happy with him going into the run.

"But there's query on what we do with him after this if he does go well. He's going to be a very difficult horse to place from here because they'll probably give him more weight."

The gelding has won three of his six starts this preparation with the Centenary Mile victory the second stakes win of his campaign after claiming the Listed Sir Edward Williams Handicap (1500m) three starts back at Eagle Farm.

Stable rider Peter Robl will again partner Soiled after his Centenary triumph on the gelding who carried 54.5kg on that occasion.

He had 1.5kg less when Craig Williams booted him home in the Williams.

Coyle said the weight would not change anything tactically for Robl on Soiled.

"The horse has a high cruising speed and he'll go forward again," Coyle said.

"Barrier draws are of no concern to him, he doesn't mind sitting outside horses and he's probably best drawn in six or seven where he can just cart to the outside.

"He's handles soft going too so that's of no concern."

The Allan Denham-trained Strat's Flyer is coming off a slashing first-up 1-1/2 length win over favourite Kroner in the Listed Takeover Target Stakes at Gosford on June 24.

Strat's Flyer had not raced since his sixth to Pepperwood in the Listed Bernborough Handicap (1630m) at Doomben on December 27.
