The Mark Kavanagh-trained Whobegotyou spearheads a massive 138 entries for the $1 million Group One Stradbroke Handicap at Eagle Farm on June 12.

Whobegotyou could also be joined in the 1400-metre feature by stablemate Catapulted who will put his credentials on the line for a Brisbane trip in the Group One Goodwood (1200m) at Morphettville on Sunday.

Catapulted, who overcame a life-threatening bout of colic as a three-year-old, resumed with an easy win in the Group Three McKay Stakes (1100m) in Adelaide earlier this month.

Whobegotyou will have a barrier trial at Flemington on Friday before heading to Brisbane.

It was hoped Whobegotyou would make an appearance during the Sydney autumn carnival but the son of Street Cry was behind time in his preparation which forced Kavanagh to concentrate on a Brisbane trip.

The dual Group One winner hasn't started since finishing sixth as favourite to the Bart Cummings-trained So You Think in the Group One Cox Plate (2040m) at Moonee Valley in October.

Kavanagh, who is yet to decide whether Whobegotyou will have another crack at Australasia's weight-for-age championship, came to Brisbane with a small team last winter and was runner-up in the Group One Queensland Derby (2400m) at Eagle Farm with subsequent Melbourne Cup winner Shocking.

The Group One Queensland Derby (2400m) attracted 146 nominations while 176 entries were received for the Group One TJ Smith (1600m) at Eagle Farm on June 12.

In other Group One features, the BTC Cup (1200m) at Doomben on May 15 attracted 52 nominations while Whobegotyou and Catapulted were among 77 entries for the Group One Doomben 10,000 (1350m) on May 29.

The Group One Doomben Cup (2020m) on May 22 received 51 nominations but last year's winner Scenic Shot was missing while the Group One Queensland Oaks (2400m) attracted 118 nominations .

Last year's winter carnival discovery Ortensia, who scored a brilliant victory in her comeback in the Group One The Galaxy (1100m) at Randwick 10 days ago, has been nominated for both the Doomben 10,000 and Stradbroke.
