Cox Plate winner Pinker Pinker will use the Queen Of the Turf Stakes as a prelude to the Doncaster Mile after trainer Greg Eurell reset the mare's autumn agenda.

Initially Eurell was keen to aim at the Ranvet Stakes-BMW Stakes double but has switched to a less taxing program after her last start Chipping Norton Stakes failure at Warwick Farm.

"After she ran so poorly last time it was going to make it too hard to run in the Ranvet," Eurell said.

"We had the two options of either going to the Ranvet and The BMW or Saturday's Queen Of the Turf and the Doncaster depending on where we were at with her."

He said Pinker Pinker was entitled to be forgiven for her sixth of eight runners in the Chipping Norton (1600m).

"You've got to be a little bit forgiving and hopefully she can pick herself up on Saturday and get going again."

At her previous start Pinker Pinker was a fast-finishing second to King Mufhasa in the Group One Futurity Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield.

Eurell said the challenge of a Group One contest second-up over 1600 metres probably tested her in the Chipping Norton.

"It was something she has never had to do before and a lot of things didn't go her way in that race," Eurell said.

"Around the corner she copped a buffet from the inside horse and it certainly put her off balance."

Eurell said 1500 metres against her own sex should suit her better at Rosehill on Saturday.

"We have regrouped with her and we are ready to go again," Eurell said.

Last spring Pinker Pinker finished second to Secret Admirer in the Epsom Handicap before winning the Cox Plate (2040m) at Moonee Valley.

Secret Admirer is among the 13 entries for the Queen Of The Turf but Saturday's George Ryder Stakes is her preferred target.

However the Queen Of The Turf still has depth with seasoned Group One winner More Joyous and Epsom third placegetter Red Tracer among Pinker Pinker's rivals.

Eurell says Pinker Pinker can get the job done and she will leave Victoria for Sydney on Wednesday night.

He said her campaign was all about running her where she was best placed to win.

"We didn't want to make this campaign too arduous," Eurell said.

"We just wanted to keep it as simple as we could before focusing again on the spring."
