Imported galloper My Kingdom Of Fife will be entered for weight-for-age races in Sydney and Melbourne on Saturday as a spring grand final for the Group One winner remains unconfirmed.

My Kingdom Of Fife, once a member of the Queen's racing stable, is expected to among entries when they are taken on Monday for the Group One Underwood Stakes at Caulfield as well as the Group Two Hill Stakes to be run at Rosehill.

"I've also got a third option and that is to wait for another week," trainer Chris Waller said.

"I won't make up my mind about what to do until I see what he does on the track first."

Waller said he wants to peak My Kingdom Of Fife for the seven-year-old's third run back in either the Caulfield Cup or the W S Cox Plate.

"I don't think he needs a lot of racing," Waller said.

"His joints need looking after and I've got a feeling his third run back in will be his best one."

My Kingdom Of Fife won his first three starts for Waller after making his Australian debut during the Sydney autumn carnival.

His haul included the Group One Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) at his second start and the Hollindale Cup (1800m) at his next outing.

The fourth start of his campaign resulted in a narrow Doomben Cup defeat to Scenic Shot.

My Kingdom Of Fife, whose condition ran out late when narrowly beaten by Trusting as he resumed in the Chelmsford Stakes at Warwick Farm on September 3, holds a nomination for five spring Group One races but Waller is convinced the Caulfield Cup or the Cox Plate are the right targets.

"Purely and simply it will be form that decides which race he goes to," Waller said.

But in perhaps the first insight into the Sydney premiership-winning trainer's thinking, Waller believes My Kingdom Of Fife's credentials are good enough to have him rated as a genuine Cox Plate horse.

Melbourne star Whobegotyou, considered desperately unlucky on Saturday not to win the Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes for the third time, is the $7 favourite with TAB Sportsbet to claim the Cox Plate.

His Moonee Valley conqueror Rekindled Interest has been promoted to the next line of betting at $8 while My Kingdom Of Fife is a $26 chance for the weight-for-age championship.

"If Whobegotyou is the benchmark horse for the Cox Plate then I don't think My Kingdom Of Fife is too far away (from that level)," Waller said.

In revised Caulfield Cup betting after Saturday's racing, My Kingdom Of Fife shares the sixth line at $18 with Whobegotyou's stablemate December Draw holding favouritism at $8.
