The Blue Diamond Stakes has been ruled out for highly-rated Golden Slipper prospect Satin Shoes.

Four-time Golden Slipper-winning trainer Clarry Conners had said he was leaning towards keeping the unbeaten filly in Sydney and her owner Dr Edmund Bateman made the decision to bypass Saturday week's $1 million Blue Diamond.

"She won't go to the Blue Diamond, she will stay here and run in the Silver Slipper and then we'll go from there," Conners told Sky Sports Radio on Friday.

The Group Two Silver Slipper (1100m) is at Rosehill on the same day as the $1 million Blue Diamond (1200m) at Caulfield.

Satin Shoes, a $700,000 yearling purchase, won impressively on debut at Randwick in October and then returned with victory in the Listed Widden Stakes at the same track last Saturday.

The daughter of 1995 Golden Slipper winner Flying Spur is currently third favourite at $10 with TAB Sportsbet for the $3.5 million Golden Slipper (1200m) on April 2.

"I'd rather just keep her home here (in Sydney), look after her, and head for the one main race (Golden Slipper)," Conners said.
