More Joyous will round off her Cox Plate campaign as planned.

Trainer Gai Waterhouse confirmed on Tuesday the glamour mare would take her place as topweight in the Toorak Handicap at Caulfield.

More Joyous was also entered for a possible early Melbourne showdown with So You Think in the Yalumba Stakes before Waterhouse decided to go with her initial program.

When weights for the Group One Toorak Handicap (1600m) were released on Tuesday, More Joyous headed handicaps with 58kg - 1.5kg more than Epsom Handicap runner-up Trusting.

"She has been trained for a mile (1600m) so after talking it through Gai decided her original thought was the best thought," Tulloch Lodge spokesman Mark Webbey said.

"Even though she has to carry 58kg, there's no denying she deserves that figure."

More Joyous arrived in Melbourne last Friday and has been kept to Flemington.

"Gai was thinking about asking for permission to work her at Caulfield but so far she has been happy for More Joyous to trot around Flemington," Webbey said.

More Joyous is on a seven-race winning streak stretching over 12 months and will be a pronounced favourite to give Waterhouse her first Toorak success.

In latest Cox Plate betting, More Joyous shares the second line of TAB Sportsbet betting at $6 behind So You Think ($2.50).

Nash Rawiller will be reunited with More Joyous on Saturday after missing her Theo Marks Stakes and George Main Stakes victories during the Sydney spring carnival.

Waterhouse, who sits on top of the Sydney trainers' premiership, will have light weekend numbers with More Joyous her only Melbourne runner.

She will start Joku and Kontiki Park in Sydney with stable apprentice Blake Spriggs on board both horses.

Herculian Prince, More Strawberries and Montana Flyer have been sent to Melbourne after their weekend runs.
