Gerald Ryan will rely on Adnocon to represent his stable in Saturday's Group Two Villiers Stakes with in-form mare Dances On Waves to run in a restricted race on the Randwick program.

The Rosehill trainer had also hoped to have Ahdashim ready for the Villiers (1600m) but he will instead run in the Listed Razor Sharp Handicap (1200m) as will stablemate Ego's Dare.

Adnocon, who has been given 55.5kg in the Villiers, will be on a seven-day back-up from his sixth in a Benchmark 95 over 1400 metres at Rosehill.

He was beaten less than two lengths with the winner Altered Boy also in the Villiers.

"Adnocon has come through Saturday well and is set to run in the Villiers," Ryan said.

"His run was good on Saturday and he has pleased me since.

"Dances On Waves will go to the Benchmark 80 over a mile.

"I just think that might be an easier option.

Baci Amore, Cullen Castle, Foxstar, Jimmy Fortunes and Lang are also entered for both races.

There were 21 nominations for the Villiers headed by Snow Alert (Rating 100) and Stratofortress and Altered Boy (99).

Kept in work after a long Sydney and Melbourne spring campaign, Snow Alert has been handicapped on 58kg - 0.5kg more than Altered Boy, Macknuckle and Stratofortress.

Snow Alert and Altered Boy are trained by Chris Waller while Peter Snowden has Spinney (56kg), Parthian (55kg) and Dysphonia (54kg) entered.

Ryan will be represented by Ahdashim and 2009 third placegetter Ego's Dare in the Listed Razor Sharp Handicap (1200m) for which there were also 21 entries.

"I had hoped to get Ahdashim ready for the Villiers as well," Ryan said.

"But he's suspect at 1600 metres so we've freshened him up to run in this.

"Ego's Dare hasn't raced for five weeks but he trialled well the other day and I'm very happy with both horses."

Stablemate Hot Snitzel is another set for the quick back-up following his win in a two-year-old handicap at Rosehill.

"He's brightand well and has been playing on the walker," Ryan said.

"As long as he keeps going the way he is, he will back up."

Hot Snitzel will be joined in the $250,000 Inglis Nursery (1000m) by stablemate Pure Force who was unplaced as favourite on debut last Saturday week.

"He didn't have a lot of luck," Ryan said.

"We couldn't find anything wrong with him so he'll go round again."

Nash Rawiller will ride Pure Force while Josh Parr has been booked for Hot Snitzel.

Swift Alliance, promoted to second in the Group One Galaxy behind Shellscrape following the disqualification of Ortensia, and 2008 Galaxy runner-up Keen Commander were also among the Razor Sharp entries.

The Gai Waterhouse-trained Swift Alliance has been asked to carry 60kg.
