The son of General Nediym didn't take my eye during his first two runs, but he raced a little greenly on debut and fought on well. The colt then cruised home by 3.5 lengths at Te Rapa after sitting on the outside of the pacemaker throughout. He drew wide in a 1000m dash at Pukekohe on Counties Cup day, but it made little difference as his rider Jason Waddell positioned him beautifully in the running. Waddell then hooked him wide turning for home and he wound up like a stayer in the making to get up late; albeit by a relatively comfortable half length.
