Peter Snowden's impressive debut winner Earthquake has opened favourite for the Blue Diamond Stakes. Dubbed the next Guelph by rider Christian Reith, Earthquake will be hoping to go better than her high-profile stablemate in the $1 million race at Caulfield on February 22.
Sportingbet have rated Earthquake a $4 chance, with the Tony McEvoy trained Risen From Doubt on the second line of betting at $7.
“Earthquake looked super impressive when winning on debut and her trainer has already declared that the filly has what it takes to win the Blue Diamond,” Sportingbet’s Andrew Brown said.
“This will be Snowden’s last Sportingbet Blue Diamond Stakes training for Darley and he will no doubt be very keen to finish his association with another two-year-old feature race win."
