Bad news for Craig...Champ jockey Craig Williams' spring carnival is under threat in the wake of the 10 meeting suspension he's copped for careless riding. It means he will miss the top ride on Vigor in the Caulfield Cup....With the suspension commencing at midnight on Saturday and concluding before Geelong Cup day on October 21, CW will miss rides on My Emotion in the 1000 Guineas and Vigor. Bad news for Singapore...Jolie's Shinju's Aussie raid may be over. The Singapore mare returned another abnormal heart beat following her first gallop at Caulfield on Tuesday. Racing Victoria's chief vet Paul O'Callaghan says the heart issue is a serious one in terms of her short-term racing future. It's likely he'll recommend to stewards that she not start this Saturday at Caulfield unless further tests on Thursday are encouraging.
Caulfield Guineas hype is hotting up...Craig Williams is raving about his mount Trusting. He says: 'He was sharp and keen and I couldn't be happier on the way to the Guineas....There's something about him. He's got unusual high gears and while most horses on Saturday have a question mark over them at 1600m you just know he's going to relish it.'' So You Think's rider, Michael Rodd says: 'Denman's been up for a while so you never know if he's starting to come to the end of it but he's clearly the horse to beat.' Paul Snowden reckons Denman's final gallop at Flemington has convinced him he's the horse to beat on Saturday....He says: 'He's fine, he's more settled and happier where he is. He has familiarised himself with the surroundings at Flemington.'
