Amazing...Freyer decides to avoid Cups with Leica Larrikin

Amazing decision...Latest reports say rising star Leica Larrikin will miss the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups to target the $1 million Grp 1 Emirate Stakes (1600m). Trainer Richard Freyer has decided not to push Leica Larrikin out to a staying trip this prep, preferring the big mile race. Leica Larrikin firmed from $61 to $21 in the Caulfield Cup markets following his bold 2nd in the Aurie's Star Handicap (1200m) last Saturday.
