News Ltd continues its pursuit of allegedly illegal bettors in the jockey ranks...Latest yarn claims as many as 10 jockeys face sanctions over their bets through third parties - apparently various professional punters. It's claimed one of these punters has coughed up the lollies in a bid to stop being banned from the racetracks.

UK champ jockey Frankie Dettori tested positive to cocaine in a random drug test, according to the London Sun. The Sun also reported that Dettori, who has ridden 110 Grp 1 winners, faces a ban of up to six months. Dettori's lawyer Christopher Stewart Moore told the BBC that Dettori has not tested positive to a performance enhancing drug. Dettori was randomly selected to be tested at Longchamp on September 16, the major lead-up to the Prix de L'arc de Triomphe meeting. "There are a large variety of substances which are banned by France Galop," Moore told the BBC. "We are not going to say which substance he has tested positive for as that would be in breach of their rules, but it's not a performance enhancing drug."
