THREE-YEAR-OLD filly Petits Filous will face her stiffest test to date when she lines up in the $450,000 Group 1 Moir Stakes over 1000m at Moonee Valley on Friday night.

The Ciaron Maher-trained galloper won her first two races at Moonee Valley during the winter before saluting in the Quezette Stakes at Caulfield on August 15 (Miss Gunpowder was third) and Cap D’Antibes Stakes at Flemington on September 12.

“Petits Filous has shown her rivals a clean pair of heels in all four of her runs and with the advantage of carrying just 51kg under the weight-for-age scale, she is predicted to graduate to open company in style,” TAB’s Trent Langskaill said.

Last spring’s Darley Classic winner Terravista – who hasn’t raced since the All Aged Stakes at Randwick on April 18 – is the second elect at $4.40.

On Cox Plate Day last year, Fontiton burst onto the stage and the Blue Diamond favourite – who finished fifth in the event last autumn – is a $7 chance to win her fourth race from five starts.

The Goodwood winner Flamberge and Buffering – who was victorious over Lankan Rupee in this race last year – are the other gallopers in single figures at $8 and $9 respectively.
