The Hawkes Racing-trained Nostradamus moved to 22nd in the order of entry for the $1 million Golden Rose (1400m) following last Saturday’s win in the Group 3 San Domenico Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill.
Law’s third placing in the San Domenico moved him up the order three spots to 25th while Washington Heightsremains in 44th position with $65,000 in prizemoney.
The Group 3 Quezette Stakes (1100m) saw Sabatini defeat Royal Snitzel by a head. Sabatini doesn’t hold a nomination for the Golden Rose, as opposed to Royal Snitzel, who sits in 33rd with $85,500.
London Lolly, who finished fourth in the Quezette, is almost assured of a start in the Golden Rose in 17th position.
Boomwaa (third), Zululand (fifth), Jabali (sixth) and Cornrow (ninth) were all beaten in last Saturday’s Group 3 Vain Stakes (1100m) but remain inside the top 13 spots.
The Lloyd Kennewell-trained Get the Nod won the Vain Stakes but the three-year-old won’t run in the Golden Rose.
Stablemate Deiheros holds a nomination for the race and enhanced his claims by winning a Benchmark 70 Handicap (1200m) for three-year-olds at Morphettville last Saturday. He is 27th in the order of entry.
