The Italian gelding headlines entries for this week’s feature country cup in Victoria, the $80,000 Wodonga Cup (1590m).

The seven-year-old son of Doyen has not started since he finished fifth of six, when beaten just over nine lengths, at Caulfield on 12 April.

While yet to win in Australia, he has turned in some notable performances including a third placing in the Group 1 The Metropolitan (2400m) in Sydney in October last year.

He sits at the top of an impressive set of nominations for the event that returns to a Friday this year after more than a decade of being run on a Sunday.
