In an ongoing display of his amazing dominance of Sydney racing, Chris Waller has 50 percent of the nominations for Saturday’s Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes. When nominations closed this morning, Waller had eight of the 16 horses entered, including runaway AJC Oaks winner Royal Descent.

Former international gallopers Bayrir, Beaten Up, Foreteller, Kelinni and Moriarty make up the majority of his entries with Queensland Derby winner Hawkspur and Metal Bender making up the rest.

Following two trials, Gai Waterhouse will start Glencadam Gold’s Spring campaign, while another former international, the Italian-bred Peter Moody-trained Sneak A Peek has also been entered.

Last start Warwick Stakes winner Veyron, for Cambridge trainer Linda Laing, is among the entries, as too is John O’Shea’s Lightinthenite. (racingnetwork)
