THE Danny Nikolic case took another significant turn yesterday when the jockey appeared before Racing Integrity Commissioner Sal Perna, reports The Age.
It says: Nikolic, his barrister Paul O'Sullivan and the jockeys association chief executive Des O'Keefe had an ''amicable'' three-hour meeting with Perna.
''They outlined the issues and problems that they believed came from those issues. We met for a number of hours but I told Danny that I need some more information,'' Perna said.
''I asked for some relevant documents related to the case which he will furnish for me when we meet next Monday.''
This will be the first major case Perna will have tackled since being appointed. Perna developed the anti-corruption program for Tennis Australia, consulted to the AFL, and is racing's first integrity commissioner.
