Idyllic Scenery has earned a trip to Brisbane for the winter carnival but will stop at Hawkesbury along the way following his victory at Canterbury. The Chris Waller trained galloper started favourite in the two-year-old contest and weaved through the field to defeat Cramant and Zigbee, reports Racing Network.

"I think he is above average and it was good to see him do that today," Waller said.

"Hawkesbury is a little close, it is only 10 days away but I'd say he would go there now. I think today will turn out to be not a bad form race."

Waller used a similar path for Zoustar 12 months ago, kicking off his career at Canterbury before heading to Hawkesbury and then on to the Brisbane

Idyllic Scenery is owned by Mr Lai, a Macau businessman who is one of the top three leading owners in Chris Waller's stable.

"Mr Lai has invested a lot in to Australian racing and it is great to be able to get a return for him," Waller said.

"He has bought a lot of yearlings at both the Magic Millions and Inglis so we are looking forward to getting a nice horse for him."
