GLEN Boss's decision to ride in the US next weekend received a boost yesterday when he picked up rides at each of the three meetings at Hollywood Park in California, reports The Age newspaper.

It says: The Melbourne-based jockey is expected to have at least 12 rides at the Friday, Saturday and Sunday meetings, including the mount on New Zealand filly Puttanesca. Puttanesca's connections finalised plans two weeks ago for the three-year-old to contest the group 1 $US750,000 ($A930,000) American Oaks over 2000 metres.

"An agent over there contacted me with a fair amount of bookings and we're just going through the process of confirming them but it's been a good response," Boss said yesterday. "I don't know much about her (Puttanesca) but I've ridden in a lot of countries across the world and I will give her a good ride...It's always been an ambition to ride in the States. I have visited there but never ridden, so it's pretty exciting," he said.

Since arriving in Melbourne from Sydney last December, Boss has booted home 60 winners, several of them in Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane.
