CHRIS Waller’s assault on his own Sydney metropolitan record will continue to gather momentum this week with strong representation at both city meetings, reports Racing Network.

Waller's daunting task is to train 27 winners with 11 meetings of the current season remaining to take his season’s tally past his record mark of 167.5 winners.

But, Waller’s phenomenal strike rate, especially over the past seven weeks, suggest he’s certainly in with a chance.

From the past 13 metropolitan meetings, Waller has trained 26 winners.

And, from the past four city meetings, Waller has trained 10 winners, including a quartet of winners at yesterday’s Randwick meeting.

He also prepared five winners at the Rosehill meeting on May 31.

Waller’s racing manager Liam Prior said it is like the stable will have between six to eight runners at Wednesday’s meeting at Canterbury, including Good Project, which ran second behind Sheer Style on the Kensington track earlier in the month.

Loophole and Plenty Special, which quinellaed a race at Newcastle on June 14, are other likely runners.

Prior said the stable’s presence will be far greater at Rosehill where they will have double digit runners.

Included in the Rosehill arsenal is Winx, impressive debut winner at Warwick Farm earlier in the month, and last start Randwick winner Eigelstein.
