Australian Craig Williams has added yet another string to his bow with victory in an international jockeys challenge in Dubai.

The globe trotting Williams took out the Meydan Masters in a tight finish from Irishman Colm O'Donoghue.

Williams scored what proved a crucial victory on Graymalkin on Friday for trainer Mubarak bin Shafya in the third of the four designated races.

A close second in the final leg gave Williams enough points to ensure the title.

The winner of the Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate during the Melbourne spring, Williams has spent the past couple of months overseas notching a Group One win in Japan and the Hong Kong Vase on Dunaden at last month's International meeting.

Williams missed the ride on French horse Dunaden in the Melbourne Cup due to suspension with Christophe Lemaire snaring victory.

Williams is due back in Australia next week and is scheduled to ride at Saturday's rich Magic Millions meeting at the Gold Coast.
