Weights for this year's Caulfield Cup have done nothing to change pre-post betting on the rich handicap.

Wagering agency TAB Sportsbet said its market was unaffected with the Peter Moody-trained Lights Of Heaven retaining favouritism at $7.

Lights Of Heaven, last season's Australasian Oaks winner at Morphettville, was given 51.5kg when weights were released on Tuesday.

"There have been no changes after the weights were released today," TAB Sportsbet's Matthew Jenkins said.

Lights Of Heaven was beaten for the first time in five starts when resuming in the PB Lawrence Stakes and is set to continue her Cups campaign in the Makybe Diva Stakes at Flemington on Saturday.

She accounts for 15 per cent of all Caulfield Cup investments so far with the TAB.

Last year's Melbourne Cup winner Americain has been given 58kg topweight for the $2.5 million Caulfield Cup on October 15.

The French-trained stayer is a $35 chance for the feature.

Sydney stayer Descarado is on the same line of betting to go back-to-back in the 2400m Group One.

Mares dominate the top end of the Caulfield Cup market with Queensland Oaks winner Scarlett Lady ($10) and AJC Australian Derby winner Shamrocker ($13) on the second and third lines of betting respectively.

German stayer Lucas Cranach is the most prominent in betting of the overseas contingent heading to Australia.

A $101 chance when betting opened on August 5, Lucas Cranach is now in to $26 after it was confirmed his preparation would be taken over by Anthony Freedman.
