Quality filly Streama will be out to reverse a narrow first-up defeat in the Furious Stakes at Warwick Farm on Saturday.

Last season's Listed Keith Mackay Quality winner resumed in the Group Three Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) on August 20, finishing third but less than half a length from the winner Pane In The Glass.

Pane In The Glass and Silver Shadow runner-up Florentina are among Streama's main opposition again in Saturday's Group Two Furious (1400m), which also includes impressive San Domenico Stakes runner-up Anise.

Top jockey Hugh Bowman has been aboard Streama in all five of her starts and took plenty of positives out of her spring return.

"Her run was great the other day," Bowman said.

"I would have loved to have ridden her to be having the last run at them first-up but the way the track was that day and having drawn the inside I was really left with no option but to sort of hold my ground.

"I wasn't pushing her to be there but I was exposing her at the top of the straight so I could get a fair run in the race and the winner was able to be ridden exactly the way I would have liked to have ridden Streama.

"There's no excuses but I feel she'll be better for that run and she'll be better ridden a touch quieter."

Streama will begin from barrier nine in the field of 10 with Pane In The Glass to jump from the inside.

Bowman believes Streama will have no trouble with her first attempt at 1400 metres and hopes the filly can be a player throughout the four-race Princess Series in Sydney which culminates with the Group One Flight Stakes (1600m) on October 1.

"I think she'll be lovely over a mile (1600m), that's what we're hoping anyway," Bowman said.

"If she's going to be a top-class filly she's going to have to run a mile."

Bowman has a quality book of rides in the feature races at the Warwick Farm meeting which includes Group One winner My Kingdom Of Fife in the Group Two Chelmsford Stakes (1600m).

He'll also ride Motspur in the Group Three Concorde Stakes (1100m), Darci Be Good in the Listed Ming Dynasty Quality (1400m) and Syreon in the Group Three Tramway Handicap (1400m).
