Todman Stakes winner Masquerader is a definite barrier trial runner on Tuesday ahead of a return to racing on Saturday.

Trainer David Payne confirmed the unbeaten three-year-old will line up in a 900-metre trial against his own age at Rosehill before stepping out in the San Domenico Stakes at Randwick four days later.

"At this stage it's 99 per cent he'll run (in the San Domenico)," Payne said.

Payne said only a badly rain-affected track would force him to change plans.

"Maybe if it was a bog ... if we're talking a (heavy) ten he wouldn't run."

Masquerader hasn't raced since scoring an upset win in the Todman at Rosehill on March 20.

Producing a powerful sprint from ninth on the home turn, Masquerader overhauled Decision Time in the Group Two race.

While Decision Time went on to finish second to Crystal Lily in the Golden Slipper a fortnight later, Masquerader missed the race because of a back muscle injury.

Payne is also set to unveil UAE Oaks winner Raihana for her first Australian appearance during tomorrow's trials.

Raihana has been scratched from recent barrier trial sessions because of wet conditions.

Multiple Group One winner Metal Bender, one of trainer Chris Waller's big spring hopes, is also entered to have his first appearance of his latest campaign.

The 2008 Rosehill Guineas winner Dealer Principal and Metal Bender's stakes-winning stablemate Stryker are also among tomorrow's nominations.

Gerald Ryan has Hinchinbrook entered to make his first appearance as a three-year-old in heat seven over 900m.

Hinchinbrook won a trial in good fashion at the previous set of Rosehill trials two weeks ago, the same morning Masquerader also impressed with his trial win.
