Local trainer John Marzol and Sydney jockey Jeff Penza have enjoyed a stellar day at Moruya, combining for a winning treble including the two feature races.
Flying Along ($1.90 fav) scored a comprehensive 1-3/4 length win over Bopalula ($8) in the Town Plate (1425m) while Regal Celeb was equally impressive in the Moruya Cup (1930m).
Regal Celeb, who started at $4, beat Bossy Matilda ($7.50) by two lengths.
The five-year-old only recently joined the Marzol team from Sydney trainer Jack Denham and was placed first-up for the stable in the Narooma Cup.
Under Denham's care, Regal Celeb won five races and finished third to 2008 Melbourne Cup winner Viewed in a Rosehill three-year-old race over 2000m.
Flying Along, whose owners include the trainer, came into Monday's race off a win in the Narooma Town Plate two weeks ago.
Marzol and Penza joined forces again in the final race of the day when Big Huey lived up to punters' confidence to win over 1650 metres as $4.40 second favourite.
Narooma Cup winner Step Forward looked to be travelling well in the Cup but was struggling in the straight and the $2.50 favourite finished 3-1/2 lengths fifth.
His stablemate Gunna Happen finished fifth in the Town Plate but trainer Robert Price and jockey Grant Buckley gained some consolation winning the first two races on the program.
They combined with Ramsays Curse ($6) and Nobleprice ($2.20).
