Spring Champion Stakes winner Sousa headlines a group of nine horses who will leave Darley Australia to join the Godolphin stable in Dubai.

Sousa gave trainer Peter Snowden his first Group One success for Sheikh Mohammed when he won the Spring Champion (2000m) by six lengths at Randwick in October.

Other Snowden horses heading to Godolphin to be prepared for the 2010 Dubai World Cup carnival at the new multi-billion dollar Meydan racecourse next March are Caymans, Aichi, Fravashi, Desuetude, El Cambio, Marching and Imvula.

Time Thief, trained by Lee Freedman for Sheikh Mohammed, will also join the Snowden contingent in Dubai.

"This decision by Sheikh Mohammed to race nine graduates from Peter Snowden and Lee Freedman's stables on the world stage is a massive compliment to everybody associated with racing our team in Australia, from Peter and Lee to the staff who work in their stables," Sheikh Mohammed's bloodstock adviser John Ferguson said.

"It is also verification that the Australian racehorses are among the best in the world.

"The horses' first target will be the 2010 Meydan World Cup meeting in Dubai, followed by Royal Ascot and other big events around the world next year."
