Jockey Glen Boss will have his appeal against the severity of a 10-meeting suspension heard on Thursday.

Boss was suspended on Friday night at Moonee valley where he rode his first city winner since relocating to Melbourne two weeks ago and finished the night with a treble.

He was found guilty of careless riding on his second winner of the night, Warm Whispers, in the Chris Burke 2 of Clubs Plate and suspended from midnight Tuesday night until midnight December 18 which included four metropolitan meetings and six meetings on provincial tracks.

Boss, who also won on Instructor at Caulfield on Saturday, was granted a stay of proceedings which allows him to ride at Caulfield on Wednesday.

His Caulfield rides are Lee Freedman stablemates Braided General (Snitzel Handicap) and Chichi Dancer (Brattle Handicap); Aztec Sun (Rogilla Handicap), Secret Flyer (Sovereign Red Handicap) and Keeping Score (Savoir Handicap).
