The son of I Conquer really took my eye when successful in a 2100m lower grade event held at Ellerslie on the final day of the Auckland Cup carnival. Top rider Jonathan Riddell hopped aboard and the combination travelled three back on the fence prior to receiving a saloon passage along the rails to claim a narrow victory. The start prior saw the gelding running third at Otaki which followed his maiden win at Trentham in late January. He's now at his peak and will threaten hack company this autumn.
