The son of High Chaparral commenced his racetrack duties last spring where he won a maiden event on debut at Trentham with senior hoop Hayden Tinsley aboard. He experienced just the one further start prior to being put aside for a lengthy spell in the paddock. He resumed with a nice second fresh-up at New Plymouth and closed strongly for fourth second up. The run that caught my attention, though was when he led all the way at Hastings on June 11 with promising apprentice Rory Hutchings dictating the speed beautifully
