Were you aghast at the poor performances of the Lloyd Williams owned pair Tandy and I'm Imposing at Flemington on Monday? Both were well-backed and both ran shockers. Not much can be gleaned from the stewards' report on Tandy. It states: 'M Rodd (Tanby) explained that his mount had raced flat and failed to finish the race off.' Of course, we all knew this. We saw it. I guess most punters would love to know WHY it ran so flat and didn't finish off its race? As for I'm Imposing, at least there was a substantive reason. The stewards report states: M Rodd (I'm Imposing GB) stated that his mount did not feel right in its action and for that reason he elected to ease his mount down. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed I'm Imposing to be mildly lame in the near fore and had been galloped on on the off hind.
