There have been a couple of good old-fashioned betting plunges on tomorrow’s Group 3 $150,000 Chairman’s Stakes (1000m) at Sandown Hillside.

Punters have tuned into two unraced two-year-olds called More Than Most and Brockhoff.

The former, by More Than Ready and trained by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, has been smashed from $15 into $6.50, while Ciaron Maher’s Brockhoff, by champion sire Lonhro, has been backed from $21 into $10.

Remember the competition is high quality, including the spring’s leading two-year-old, Prompt Return.

Another Hayes and Dabernig runner, Haybah, second to Blue Diamond Stakes favourite Fontiton at its last start, has also been heavily backed in the same race, firming from $5.50 into $4.20.

Consequently, Prompt Return has eased from $2.90 out to $3.30, Thurlow has been $3.50 out to $4.60 and impressive debut winner Parcel has been $6 out to $7.50. (Racing Network)
