The saga continues...With the consent of all parties, the Racing Appeals & Disciplinary Board has adjourned an appeal by jockey Danny Nikolic from 10am tomorrow to 10am on Wednesday, September 12. Nikolic is appealing the decision made by Racing Victoria stewards at Seymour on Tuesday that he be stood down from riding under Australian Rule of Racing 8(l). Nikolic's application for a stay of proceedings until the appeal is heard was dismissed by the RAD Board. He remains stood down from riding until the hearing and the determination of the appeal. RV's investigation into the alleged threats made by Nikolic to Chairman of Stewards Terry Bailey at the Seymour meeting is continuing and is expected to be finalised shortly.

Danny Nikolic's problems mean he will miss out on the plum ride on 9/2 chance Mosheen in Sat's Bobbie Lewis Quality 1200m at Flemington. His replacement is Mark Zahra. Apparently, connections are keeping the future ride open for Nikolic should he be allowed to ride following next week's appeal.
