The David Vandyke trained Prince Cheri has been well supported at tab.com.au on the back of news he will stay in Sydney and be aimed at the Metropolitan. Prince Cheri was originally listed as doubtful for the 2400m G1 event on Oct 5 but a win in the Kingston Town Stakes has lifted his rating and although allocated the minimum weight of 52kgs for the Metrop he is currently equal 25th on the ballot and with a number of entries already confirmed as non runners he seems set to get a start.
He has created a big impression in Sydney since arriving from France and has now had 4 Australian starts for 3 wins and a 3rd.
