Sydney punters can already start searching for wet-trackers when doing the form for Saturday’s meeting at Rosehill Gardens. ATC track manager Lindsay Murphy told Racing Network on Monday morning the track would not get any real chance to dry out before Saturday.
“Rosehill really copped it last week. In fact, Randwick got the least rain of all the city tracks,” he said.
“The track at Rosehill now would be about a slow 7, but we’ve got forecast showers every day this week and that's what will keep the track wet. It won’t get a chance to dry out,” he explained.
“It will hover between the slow and heavy range all week and I suspect that's what we will be racing on come Saturday,” he added.
Saturday’s Randwick meeting was conducted on a heavy 10 after Sydney experienced a huge amount of rain in the week leading into the meeting.
The seven-day Sydney forecast is predicting showers every day leading into Saturday’s Run to the Rose meeting.
